What is liposuction?
Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery in which fat from different areas of the body is extracted by means of thin cannulas (2-4 mm) that are interjected beneath the skin through small incisions. The cannulas are connected to a vacuum system that allows for the aspiration of excess fat tissue. There are multiple different types of liposuction and every year, newer and safer techniques are being pioneered.

Patients who are in sound health and have good skin elasticity are usually suitable candidates for liposuction. Suitable liposuction candidates must also be at, near or slightly above their desired weight, even though they have stubborn fat pockets that resist a well-balanced diet and consistent exercise.
Individuals who need to lose a major amount of weight, have poor skin elasticity or are looking to treat cellulite are not suitable candidates for liposuction.

Liposuction is usually performed under local anesthesia and sedation, so the patient remains awake and relaxed. General anesthesia is reserved for larger interventions that address several areas of the body.

The recovery from Liposuction is easy compared to many plastic surgery procedures. Most patients have relatively little pain. Many say that they feel like they had done a huge workout after being very out of shape. About 40 % of my Liposuction patients don’t even fill their prescription for pain pills.
Which one is Better, Liposuction or a Tummy Tuck?
It depends on the patient. To put it simply, liposuction removes fat. If a patient has a lot of excess, sagging skin and/or weakened abdominal muscles, they would be better off getting a tummy tuck or a mini tummy tuck, depending on the situation. On the other hand, if unwanted fat deposits are the patient’s only problem, they will likely benefit most from liposuction.
What are the results ?
Plastic Surgeons can help you anticipate and visualize realistic results. Immediately after surgery, there will be some swelling and the skin may be loose. Because of this it can take several weeks to months to see the full extent of the results of the procedure.
The fat cells removed during liposuction are permanently removed. It is important to note, however, that patients can still gain new fat cells, so following a healthy diet, lifestyle and exercise plan after treatment can help prevent new fat gain.

Liposculpture is not a procedure for losing weight but is used for re-modelling the body and eliminating accumulations of fat. The fat does not weigh much. Even after removing a considerable amount, you may only lose a few kilograms.
How long is the recovery period of this surgery?
If local anesthesia is used during the operation, the applicant is able to leave after 30 minutes. But if it is done under general anesthesia, it takes 1 to 3 hours of treatment to completely remove the anesthetic from the body.
But in general, after 48 hours of liposuction, the person has the ability to return to daily activities and outdoor activities.
Is lipomatic better or liposuction?
If the amount of fat is low, lipomatic is a very good option, but if the amount of fat is high, liposuction should be prescribed to the patient. In both cases, the patient’s opinion is given priority.
Is Liposuction Surgery More Dangerous or Lipomatic?

What is the difference between lipomatic and liposuction?
One of the major differences between liposuction and lipomatic is that the risk of embolization is very low with liposuction, but this does not mean that lipomatosis occurs. An experienced specialist should be consulted to rule out any complication.
